Our Mission

We are serving the community to educate and decrease used needles and drug paraphernalia in our community. Our mission started in 2018 when our Executive Latrell Liptrot had the vision of helping and educating people of the dangers of used and exposed needles. 2018 until this date Phu Community services  has safely disposed of over 10,000 used needles on the streets of Rochester NY.

I am an Executive of a multicultural marketing agency, Phu Concepts located in Rochester, New York that has experience in the non-profit sector. I am looking for opportunities to apply my skills and serve the community to decrease used needle and drug paraphernalia in our community and all communities. I started my mission as a non-profit in 2018 with the vision of helping people in our community one at a time. I was at a park with my daughter and as she was running towards the playground, in the gist of her getting to the playground there was a trail of used needles and blood on the swings that she did not notice. As a child who would. I thank God I was able to get her before she had any contact with this drug paraphernalia and blood.  At that point I got her to a safe place, went back to the playground with the proper attire and cleaned the area and disposed of the drug paraphernalia properly. That experience was the start of my mission to better our community. I am deeply committed to improving our community one needle at a time. I am a visionary leader known for the ability to win community support, develop key coalitions and build relationships with a shared sense of purpose. I am ready,  willing and looking for all opportunities in non-profit to help our people and community each one at a time.

My dream is to impact as many people as I can by teaching the basics of what I’ve learned in my life. This is why my current position makes the most sense for me, as I am doing what I’ve always dreamed of. My new challenge is: how can I impact more people?

One of the biggest questions in Today’s society is: What exactly is a good leader? To me: a great leader is one who can lead with many different hats; one who is poised but fearless; empathetic and only uses sympathy when it applies; one who is determined and can problem solve and not blame; one who can take the back seat, when it’s the right time to do so.

As I continue to grow and learn more about myself, id like to transfer my knowledge to others – the way a great coach should. My linked in profile, will help me display my journey for the next few years, and help me to understand: Did I become whom I said that I would?
